Abuse in Later Life
TTD provides advocacy services to address the needs of people in later life (ages 50 or older) who are experiencing or have experienced emotional, psychological, physical, financial, or sexual abuse. The abusive person may be a spouse, former spouse, partner, or adult child.
TTD advocates assist with Protection from Abuse orders, help navigate the court systems, assist with safety plans, provide information, and referrals related to the legal system. For more information, including locations and hours, and to make an appointment to meet, please call the numbers below.
The primary intent of the Maine Domestic Violence CPS program is to strengthen the relationship between Maine’s domestic violence and child protective systems in order to enhance early identification, intervention, and system collaboration in cases of intimate partner abuse and child protection.
