Through These Doors has continued to provide shelter to survivors of domestic violence during the current pandemic.
The staff at TTD have been working hard to creatively keep survivors safe! We are proud to stay that our shelter has remained free of outbreak, which we continue to feel grateful for.
During the month of May, we sheltered a total 29 people – a mix of adults and children. Additionally, our work to help survivors obtain safe, permanent housing hasn’t stopped. Since the stay-at-home order, 4 families have moved into permanent housing!
We are working hard to keep everyone healthy and safe. We continue to feel grateful for the help and support we are receiving and have received from the community and from our employees.
For more than 2 months, we have been asking the survivors we are working with the following 3 questions. Here are their responses:
Has the pandemic affected your safety? 95.4% said YES
Do you have elevated safety concerns due to COVID 19? 93.8% said YES
Has Through These Doors been able to meet your safety needs through our virtual services? 100% said YES
THANK YOU to our staff, donors, supporters, volunteers, board members and to those who continue to use our services.
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU.
