COVID Update

Through These Doors has continued to provide shelter to survivors of domestic violence during the COVID pandemic. The staff at TTD have been working hard to keep survivors safe creatively. We are proud to stay that our shelter has remained free of outbreaks, which we continue to feel grateful for.

During May, we sheltered a total of 29 people, a mix of adults and children. Additionally, our work to help survivors obtain safe, permanent housing hasn’t stopped. Since the stay-at-home order, four families have moved into permanent housing.

We are working hard to keep everyone healthy and safe. We continue to feel grateful for the help and support we receive and have received from the community and our employees.

For more than two months, we have asked the survivors we are working with the following questions. Here are their responses:

  • 95.4% said YES.
• Do you have elevated safety concerns due to COVID 19?
  • 93.8% said YES.
• Has Through These Doors met your safety needs through our virtual services?
  • 100% said YES.
